From Hilo - Puna and Pahoa Tour
See for yourself the spectacular beauty the Puna District has to offer on your private and personal tour. We'll take you some of the treasures on the Big Island of Hawaii's east side that are not seen by the large tour groups. If you are staying on the Kona side of the island, you are more than welcome to meet me in Hilo to begin the tour
A highlight of this tour is seeing the newest lava flow in Pahoa that is from 2014. You will be able to see where lava crossed the road and came within 10 feet of the Pahoa Transfer Station.
There are many options available on this tour including a walk thru a secluded pine forest that is wonderfully peaceful with only the sound of the ocean and birds, visit famous Kalapana - home to the 1990 lava flow and walk to the black sand beach that is being rebuilt by nature, if you choose, you can swim in the warm ponds where, depending on the tide, the water can reach 92 degrees f. and take a leisurely stroll thru Lava Tree State Park.

Meet up location: We will begin the tour on the Hilo (east) side of Hawaii Island. This includes the Port of Hilo for cruise ship shore excursions, hotels and B&Bs.
End location: We end the tour at the location of your choice on the Hilo side of the island.
Duration: approximately 4 hours.
