Private Volcano Tour by Land and Air

See the active Kilauea Volcano by land and air on this private tour for up to four travelers.​

We start on the Hilo side of the island, making our way to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  After spending a few hours exploring the volcano we will head back to Hilo and begin our PRIVATE HELICOPTER ride where we will be able to see Kilauea from the air!   Yes, it really is a private helicopter ride all to ourselves!   Upon booking the tour, please include the names, weights and date of birth of each person (required for the helicopter ride).  See the video below of the helicopter ride taken 10-27-2022.

We drive around in a 2023 Ford F150 with a higher step up than usual.

 

What's included:   Bottled water and transportation to some spectacular sights including a PRIVATE helicopter ride!

Meet up location: We will begin the tour on the Hilo (east) side of Hawaii Island. This includes the Hilo Airport (ITO), Port of Hilo for cruise ship shore excursions, hotels and B&Bs. 

 

End location: We end the tour at the location of your choice on the Hilo side of the island.

 

Duration: 6-7 hours.

​Physical requirements:   Must be able to get in and out of the truck and helicopter unassisted.  Not wheelchair accessible.
