Kona to Hilo Tour

This tour starts on the Kona side of the island and ends at the location of your choice on the Hilo side.

Starting in Kona, this day-long trip will be filled with spectacular scenery that you will only find on the Big Island of Hawaii.

After picking you up in the Kona area, we begin the drive south through Captain Cook on the way to Pu`uhonua O Hōnaunau National Park. After exploring the park, we'll continue on to South Point where the adventurous can cliff dive (see picture).   You can even get to the green sand beach via shuttle.  Punalu'u Bake Shop is next for a pit stop and a quick lunch if you like. Next stop is Punalu'u black sand beach where we might spot a sea turtle resting. Then on to Volcanoes National Park, where you'll experience steam vents, Halema'uma'u Crater, Kilauea Iki, Thurston lava tube and many more sights.

What's included:  Entrance fees to Volcanoes National Park, bottled water and transportation to some spectacular sights.

What's extra:  Drinks / Snacks / Meals / Souvenirs, etc.

Meet up location: We will begin the tour in Kailua-Kona. This includes the Kona pier for cruise ship passengers, hotels and B&Bs.

End location: We end the tour at the location of your choice on the Hilo (east) side of the island.

Duration: 7 - 9 hours.  The duration of this tour is an estimate and can change based on the length of time we spend at each stop. Remember, this is YOUR tour and it is my goal to give you an experience of a lifetime.

***Please note:  if you desire to go to the green sand beach at South Point there will be an additional $15 per person for the beach shuttle paid directly to the shuttle driver.
