Kilauea Eruption Private Tour
As a resident in Leilani Estates I have witnessed the Kilauea Eruption in 2018 from start to finish. As an added option, this private tour will take you into Leilani Estates where we will be standing near Fissure 8 (on private property), the vent responsible for most of the damage. We will also be driving over the lava flow en route to the new black sand beach at Pohoiki Boat Ramp and Isaac Hale Park.
Please note: This tour will not take you all around the neighborhood of Leilani Estates because we respect the privacy of those that have lost everything.

We drive around in a 2023 Ford F150 with a higher step up than usual.
What's included: Guiding service and private transportation.
Meet up location: We will meet at Long's Drugs in Pahoa. 15-1454 Kahakai Blvd, Pāhoa, HI 96778
End location: We end the tour at the same location we began.
Duration: 2-3 hours.

Physical requirements: Must be able to get in and out of the truck unassisted. Not wheelchair accessible.
